Chasing the Light by Tunji Jinadu

Chasing the light - for years I had had a vision to use high speed sync (HSS) to create a golden hour shoot with the beautiful warm tones of a natural sunset. Picture a beautiful sandy beach, low setting golden sunlight, dramatic skies and a beautiful model.

I was never able to realise this vision as I was often limited by my gear. I shoot Pentax and for years Pentax shooters had struggled with affordable native 3rd party accessories that shooters of other camera systems took for granted. In order to achieve HSS I had to mount 2 separate triggers on top of my camera. this workaround was unwieldy and very unreliable and would often lead to misfires.

Enter Godox. A Chinese 3rd party supplier and their XPro P trigger. The first affordable and reliable trigger for Pentax camera systems. I waited for almost a year from the time it was first announced, constantly reading reviews and visiting sites of various resellers to just stare at the product and dream of the day I would own one and finally be able to produce the sort of image I had often seen in my mind’s eye.

As soon as it arrived I knew I had to plan a shoot. I got together a team of professionals I had worked with before and trusted. Obi Obibi of iCandi Digital Media for video, Ayo Odesanya of IShutter Photography, Sabrina Chyld a beautiful soul singer and Irene Adekonojo an Instagram influencer as models.

I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.

Love what you do and do what you love…
